Maurice relatives received word Saturday morning of the death of Mrs. Gertrude Lehman, wife of William Lehrman at a Sioux City Hospital, following a stroke she suffered while at work last Tuesday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Lehrman lived at 210 West 15th Street at Sioux City, since moving from the farm southeast of Maurice about nine years ago.

Mrs. Lehrman was born at Cushing, Iowa, February 24, 1895, and was 52 years old and was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, William G. Lehrman, Sioux City; a son, Marlin and a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Peterson, both of Seattle, Washington; two brothers, Peter Peterson of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Miss Nina Peterson, Pukwana and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, November 18 at the funeral home in Sioux City, and at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Reading Township in Sioux County, with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery. All the relatives and many friends of this community attended the service.
