From the Sioux County Index (Hull), October 28, 1927:

Mrs. A. A. Kuyper, of Boyden, died Tuesday night at 10:30 o’clock. She had been in poor health for some months, suffering with cancer and anemia. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon and burial will be made in the Boyden Cemetery. Sincere sympathy is extended by the Hull folk to the bereaved ones in their great loss.

Mrs. Arie Kuyper Gone

Mrs. A. A. Kuyper died Tuesday night at her home two miles west of Boyden, at the age of 70 years. Mrs. Kuyper is survived by her husband and twelve children. She was a devoted family woman and homemaker. The children are Edward, Windom[?], Minn.; Mrs. C. De Vries[?], Aurora, Ia.; Mrs. G. Van Dam, Des Moines, Cornelius[?], Sheldon; Guy, West Bend, Ia.; Mrs. C.[?] Van Sitters[?], [illegible[, Ia.; Joe, Hull; Chas. of [illegible], Minn. and John, Los Angeles[?]; Marion[?] on the home farm; Mrs. John [illegible]. Boyden and Harold at home. She is also survived by two[?] sisters[?], Mrs. Guy[?] Kuyper, Sioux Center, Mrs. [illegible], Prairie City.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at Boyden. Soon after Mrs. Kuyper’s death the family received the sad news of the death of her grandson Clarence[?], 13 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Gt. Van Dam who died early Wednesday morning at a Des Moines hospital. The boy’s funeral will be held in Des Moines.

Among the relatives from a distance who attended the funeral here last Friday of the late Mrs. A. A. Kuyper were: Mr. and Mrs. Art Huizzer, of Linville, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Van Leest, of Sully, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Dunnink of Keswick, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Fred DeJong of Sully, Iowa; Walter DeKraai, of Fremont, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Neal Jabaai, of Monroe and Mr. and Mrs. Len Jabaai, of Prairie City, Iowa; Neal Vander Leest, of Sully and Mr. C. P. Sitter of Ortenville, Minn. Many other relatives and friends attended the funeral which was held at the First Reformed church. Rev. J. M. Lumkes assisted with the services, speaking in the Holland language. The sons acted as pallbearers. Those of the children who were not present at the funeral were Mrs. Jennie Van Dam of Des Moines, Mrs. C. P. Sitter of Ortenville, Minn., andMr. John Kuyper of Orange, California.

The Iowa Deaths and Burials Index on Ancestry.com has Gysbertji Kuyper, age 70, born 1857, died 25 Oct 1927 at Hull, Sioux County.

Her death certificate has Geysbertje (indexed on Ancestry.com as Gerjsbertje) Kuyper; born Sept. 16, 1857 in Iowa; parents C. De Jong and Antonnette Sterenburg [probably Sterrenburg], both born in Holland; died in Sheridan Township at 10:40 p.m. October 25, 1927, of carcinoma of stomach, duration 3 months; buried at Boyden.

FindaGrave.com has her as Bertha DeJong Kuyper, born 16 Sep 1857 in Pella, Iowa; died 25 Oct. 1927 at Boyden; buried in Sheridan Township Cemetery; parents Cornelius DeJong (1925-1903) and Antonia Sterrenburg DeJong (1825-1887); 7 siblings listed; spouse Arie A. Kuyper (1856-1929). Three of their children are listed: Antonette C. Kuyper DeVries (1880-1942), Guysbert Adrian Kuyper (1889-1976), and Joseph Walter Kuyper (1891-1941).

The Sioux County Cemetery Index also has her as Bertha Kuyper.

Other researchers found her to have married Arie A. Kuyper in Pella on June 7, 1876 (source not cited).
