From the Alton Democrat, October 7, 1927, Boyden news:

Friends of the Pete Manderville family will be grieved to learn that their three months old baby boy was buried at Sheldon Saturday afternoon. The sympathy of many friends goes out to them in their sorrow. It is but a little more than a year since their other son met such a tragic death near Boyden.

From the Boyden Reporter, October 6, 1927:

Jackie Howard, the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Manderville, died Tuesday, September 27th, at their home in Sheldon. The child was about two months old, being born on July 11th. Funeral services were held Friday at Sheldon, and burial was made at Primghar, Iowa. Rev. Neil Stewart officiated at the funeral service. The Mandervilles were formerly residents of Boyden, Mr. Manderville being at one time truck driver for the Boyden Rendering Works.
