Funeral services for Mrs. Hendrik J. Lankhorst, 77, who died at her home Monday afternoon, April 20, 1957, following a month's illness, will be held at the Associated Church. Reverend John C. Thorns will officiate. Interment will be at Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Barnard Funeral Home.

Everdina Aleida Visser was born March 29, 1880, at Terwolde, Gelderlande, The Netherlands, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Visser. She came to America at the age of 18.

On September 30, 1900, she married Hendrik J. Lankhorst at the Sandham Memorial Reformed Church, the first couple to be married in this church which Mr. Lankhorst had helped construct and acted as part-time pastor.

To this union were born eight children, four of whom died in infancy. A son, Jacob, died in 1950 and Mr. Lankhorst in 1956.

Mrs. Lankhorst was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Ladies Aid and a member of the Mothers Club of the V. F. W.

Survivors include three children, Harry, John and Jerry, all of Hawarden; a sister, Mrs. Geraldine Katherman of Sioux City, Iowa; five brothers, Leonard Visser of Canton, South Dakota, Harry and Herman Visser, both of Hurley, South Dakota, Jacob Visser of Parker, South Dakota and Henry Visser of Elkton, South Dakota, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
