Rites held Friday Henry Hoeven, burial at Newkirk
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 1:30 at the First Reformed Church of Hospers for Henry Hoeven who passed away on Monday. Rev. James Bos, pastor, officiated . Mrs. Vander Maaten of Sheldon sang "Face to Face".

Henry Hoeven was the son of John and Maggie Hoeven Niewenhuis and was born in George on
July 15, 1896. He passed away on October 5,1959 at Hot Springs, South Dakota. He had taught in
the Hospers and Boyden High schools for several years, and in other schools in Iowa and South
Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dr. Edward B. Hoeven and a half-brother, William Niewenhuis. He is survived by a brother, John Hoeven of Wahoo, Nebraska, as a step-brother, Arie Niewenhuis of Sioux City; four sisters, Mrs. C. Sorgdrager of Sioux Falls, Mrs. Jennie Brink of Los Angeles, Mrs. Boyd Harlow of Colfax, Washington, and Miss Rosella Niewenhuis of Woodward, Iowa.
Burial was in the Newkirk Cemetery.
