Diphtheria is raging with great violence in this city. Probably fifty people are down sick in town and the vicinity at this writing. So far only one fatal case, that of Mr. Theo. Hoxmeier's little girl. We are informed that several are not expected to live and death may come any time. It is thought school will close next week on account of it, not one-fourth of the scholars are attending
