JOE W. KUYPER, 50, PASSED AWAY AT BOYDEN, THURSDAY

Joseph Walter "Joe" Kuyper, 50 years of age, passed away at his home at Boyden, Iowa, on Thursday, September 11th, 1941. He suffered a heart attack while at work and died very suddenly.

Joe W. Kuyper was born on a farm two miles west of Boyden on March 8, 1891. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arie A. and Bertha (De Jong) Kuyper. On March 8, 1916 he was married at Hull, Iowa to Miss Josie Van Sloten. To this union six children were born. Two infant sons and his parents and one brother have preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife and the following children: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kuyper, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Gordon (Esther), Harold and Shirley. Also surviving are six brothers and four sisters: Mrs. C. De Vries of Ames, Iowa, Can. J. Kuyper of Sheldon, Mrs. Jennie Van Dam of St. Charles, Iowa, Guy A. Kuyper of West Bend, Iowa, Mrs. C.P. Sitters of Ortonville, Minnesota, Charles J. Kuyper of Worthington, Minnesota, John C. Kuyper of Orange, California, Marion R. Kuyper of Odessa, Minnesota, Mrs. John Douma of Hull and Harold A. Kuyper of Odessa, Minnesota.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 15th at the home at Boyden with Reverend Brink officiating. Burial was made in the Boyden Cemetery.
