Mrs. Lucy Lacy passed away at 4:10 Wednesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.F. Jurgensen in this city. Mrs. Lacy suffered a stroke nine years ago and two years ago she suffered a second stroke. She was seriously ill for some time after suffering the strokes but was only bedfast a week preceding her death.

Funeral services will be held from the J.F. Jurgensen home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon and from the Baptist Temple at 2:30. Burial will be made in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Lucy Bragg, daughter to Iscaac and Christina (Lanbeck) Bragg, was born at Streator, Illinois, July 6, 1860, so had attained the advanced age of 73 years, 6 months and 25 days. She was left an orphan at the age of three years. She was united in marriage to Henry Lacy in Missouri. She came to Hawarden in 1920 and since then has made her home here with Mrs. Jurgensen. When she was well and able she attended the Baptist Church in this city and was a member of the Bible class of that Sunday school. The members of this class frequently held meetings at the Jurgensen home during the past couple of years so that Mrs. Lacy might enjoy the gatherings with them and this was a great comfort to her in her trying days.

She is survived by her three children, Mrs. J.F. Jurgensen of Hawarden, Mrs. Walter Callahan of Sioux City and Charles Bellmore of Brush, Colorado. She also leaves five grandchildren.
