William Kwikkel, 86, of Boyden died Wednesday in a nursing home in Sheldon.

Services were Saturday in the United Presbyterian Church in Boyden. The Reverend Daniel Myers officiated. Burial was in the Boyden Cemetery.

Mr. Kwikkel was born April 17, 1897, in Boyden. He married Tena Seefus, February 25, 1917, in Orange City. She died December 24, 1970. He was a rural mail carrier for more than 45 years. He was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include one son, Billy of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (June) Den Hartog of Sheldon and Mrs. George (Lucille) Diekevers of Boyden; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
