Born: October 8, 1852
Died: September 13, 1915

Aaron Aaronson was found dead in bed Monday morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. A.L. Johnson, on the North side. He had been in his usual health, but he failed to respond to the morning call and an investigation disclosed that he had passed away sometime during the night without a struggle. The covering of the bed was not disturbed and he was lying just as he had fallen asleep. Heart failure is presumed to have been the cause of his sudden demise.

The deceased was born in Sweden October 8, 1852. He came to Big Springs, South Dakota in 1880. The following year he was given a carpenter foremanship on the Milwaukee Railway, which position he held until 1907. Since that time he made his home in Hawarden with Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Johnson. He was a single man and was held in high regard by all who knew him.

He leaves three sisters and four brothers, Mrs. A.L. Johnson and Alfred Aaronson of this city, Oscar Aaronson of Mitchell, South Dakota, and two brothers and two sisters in Sweden.

Brief funeral services were held at the Johnson home this morning and the body was then taken to the Big Springs Church where the funeral sermon was preached by Reverend J.R. Lindblom of Alcester. Interment was made in the Big Springs Cemetery.
