DEATH OF K. VELGERSDYK

K. Velgersdyk, a resident of Rock Valley for the past twenty-two years, died at his home last Thursday, August 26th, aged seventy-nine years, seven months and twenty-three days.

Mr. Velgersdyk was born in Holland, January 3, 1847, where he grew to manhood. He came with his family to this country in September, 1904, coming directly to Rock Valley, and continued to reside here until his death.

Mr. Velgersdyk is survived by his wife and six children. The children are Mrs. C. Ver Mulm, Mrs. John Kersbergen, Wm. Velgersdyk and John Velgersdyk, of Rock Valley, Mrs. R. Ver Mulm, Valier, Mont, and K. Velgersdyk, Inwood.

Funeral services were held at the home at 1:30 o’clock and at the First Reformed Church at 2:00 o’clock Monday afternoon.

His death certificate adds his occupation, laborer; father Klaas, born in Holland, mother’s name unknown to the informant, John Kersbergen; wife’s name not given; died at 4 p.m. August 26, 1926; cause cystitis prostatilis, duration 1 year; contributory cause, senility.
