Funeral services were held 1:45 Tuesday, August 7, for Mrs. Geertje Kooima, 84, at the First Christian Reformed Church with the Reverend C. Huissen in charge. She died Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Mulder.

Mrs. Kooima was born in The Netherlands in 1871 and married Cornelius W. Kooima in 1891. They came to the United States in 1909 and lived in Sioux County most of their lives. Mr. Kooima died in 1931.

Four children were born to them, all of whom survive. They are: (Tena), Mrs. Henry Mulder and Walter C. of Rock Valley, (Effie), Mrs. Henry Rensinbrink, of Grand Rapids, Michigan and William who lives in Canton, South Dakota.

Also surviving are three brothers and one sister, 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Valley View Cemetery in Rock Valley with the Coop Burial Association of Sioux Center in charge.
