Funeral services were held for Mrs. Harlyn Kooiker, 21, of Middleburg on April 7, at the Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg, Minnesota.

She died April 5, at the Sioux Valley hospital in Sioux Falls from burns received March 25, when she was attempting to light a water heater in her home when an explosion occured. She received burns over 90% of her body.

Peggy Ann Post Kooiker was born April 26, 1951 to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Post at Prinsburg.

She was united in marriage on March 16, 1973 to Harlyn Kooiker of Middleburg. She attended Christian Grade School and Christian High School at Prinsburg. Attended Calvin College for 2½ years and at the time of her death was a student at Northwestern College majoring in Art. Her work is on display at Ramaker Library in memory of her.

She is survived by her husband, mother, father, sisters: Sharon and Betty; brothers: Harvey and Douglas.

Reverend Wevers was in charge of the service. Burial was in the Middleburg Cemetery. Pallbearers were, Dan, Dave, Paul, Bill Kooiker and Harvey and Larry Post.
