NICK William KOOIKER

Nick William Kooiker passed January 2, 1980 at the Sioux Center Community Hospital at the age of 83.

Services were January 5 in the First Reformed Church of Hull with Pastor David Ter Beest officiating. Burial was at Hope Cemetery with Kraai Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Kooiker was born on October 9, 1896 in Boyden. He married Minnie Brummel on January 7, 1920. She passed away on July 14, 1974. He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Hull. He farmed south of Boyden until 1961 after which he retired, moving to Hull.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Peter Roy (Johanna) Westra, Mrs. Tim R. (Clarine) Kooima of Hull, Iowa; three sons, William K. Kooiker of Hull, Alvin Kooiker of Boyden and Glenn Kooiker of Sheldon, 29 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, four sisters, Miss Mary Kooiker of Hull, Mrs. John (Helen) Kroese of Hull, Mrs. Arie (Jennie) Vander Weide of Sioux Center and Mrs. Peter (Gertrude) Van Kalsbeek of Hospers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two infant sons and two brothers.
