Mr. Nick Koele passed away at the Methodist Hospital in Sioux City Sunday evening at the age of 70 years.

Mr. Koele entered the hospital last week Wednesday, and Thursday underwent an operation for bladder trouble. Sunday evening he was feeling fairly good again. Shortly after visiting hours, the cold hand of death reached out and took him unexpectedly.

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 1:00 p. m. at the home and 1:30 p. m. at the First Reformed Church of Hull.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, Marie (Vanden Berg) Koele; two daughters, Jean, (Mrs. Henry Van Zee) of Rock Valley; Eva (Mrs. W. C. Davis) of Albany, Georgia; and one son, Frederick of Oregon; nine grandchildren; 6 brothers, Dick, Egbert, Jake, Hank and Henry of Hull, John of San Francisco, California; three sisters, Coba (Mrs. William Faas) of Sanborn, Mary (Mrs. John Guninnk) and Hattie (Mrs. G. J. Leusink) both of Clinton, Wisconsin.

Pall bearers will be Ben Meylink, Henry Huibregtse, B. Boogerd, W. De Roos, H. Beckman and L. C. Van Batavia.

Two children preceded him in death, Margaret in 1936, and Marvin in 1943.
