James Brian Koedam, 23, of rural Doon died Sunday, June 4, 1995, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars of injuries suffered in a two vehicle accident Sunday, north of Le Mars.

Services were Thursday at the Christian Reformed Church at Doon with Pastor Tim Perkins officiating. Burial was at Hillside Cemetery, Doon.

Mr. Koedam was born August 30, 1971, in Rock Rapids. He attended the Doon Christian School and graduated from Western Christian High School at Hull in 1990. He then worked on the family farm near Doon. He was engaged to be married September 9 to Tracy Belt of Rock Rapids. Mr. Koedam was a member of a bowling team at Rock Valley. He owned and drove the race car ‘82 at the Rapid Speedway at Rock Rapids. He was a member of the Christian Reformed Church of Doon.

Survivors include his parents James M. and Nina (DeKam) Koedam of Doon; his fiancée, Tracy Belt at Rock Rapids; a brother and his wife, Terry and Kim Koedam of Doon; grandparents, Jim and Wilma Koedam of Doon and Sam and Magdalema DeKam of Rock Rapids and a great-grandmother, Marie Koedam of Rock Valley.
