A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Leon Koele of Meriden, Iowa, on Wednesday, May 17th. He weighed 8 pounds and 4 ounces. They named him Carl Koele. He passed away the same day.

A short service was held Friday, May 19th, from the Free Grace Evangelical Church at Meriden, at 12:30 p.m., with Reverend Eugene Anderson officiating. Roger and Roberta Niers sang, "Gathering Buds."

A graveside service was held the same afternoon at Hope Cemetery at Hull, with Reverend N. Rozeboom officiating.

Surviving are his parents; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Koele of Meriden; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arie Koele of Hull and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Horstman of Orange City; and great-grandmothers, Mrs. Mary Koele and Mrs. Anne Heemskerk of Hull.
