Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. today, Thursday, December 11, at the Methodist Church in Ireton for Wyram E. Knowlton, 75, who passed away at a hospital in Fort Dodge on December 8. Dr. G.S. Bruland will officiate and burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton under the direction of Dow Funeral Home. A service will also be held at 10:00 A.M. this morning at the Friendship Haven Chapel at Fort Dodge where he had been a patient at the rest home for the past four years.

He was born July 13, 1894. In May of 1931 he married Grace Irwin at Dakota City, Nebraska. She preceded him in death in 1953. He farmed in the Ireton area until 1953 when he moved to Sioux City. He made his home in Sioux City until four years ago when he entered the rest home at Fort Dodge.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John (Joann) Ashton of Milton; one son, Hugh E. Knowlton of Los Angeles, California; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Frank of Hutchinson, Kansas, Daryl of Lennox, South Dakota, Bruce of Sioux Falls; four sisters, Mrs. Frances Goeman of Hutchinson, Kansas, Mrs. Mary Burns of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Ruth Knadle of Rock Rapids and Mrs. June Burks of Sioux City.
