Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville at 10 A,M. December 7 for Miss Diane Plathe, 19, of Granville, who was fatally injured in an automobile accident near Remsen, December 5.

Services were conducted by the Reverend John Schiffel and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Miss Plathe was born March 12, 1952, in Le Mars, and resided most of her life in Granville. She was a graduate of Spalding High School and had attended Northwest Iowa Vocational School at Sheldon.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Melvin Plathe of Granville, five sisters, Mrs. Charles (Julie) Frangmen of Cherokee, Mrs. Rodney (Cheryl) Burnen of Sanborn, Miss Joyce of Le Mars, Miss Holeen, and Miss Kim, both at home; a brother, Duane at home; and two grandfathers, Ben Plathe and Peter Klein.
