Funeral services were held Saturday morning April 27, 1944 at 9:30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for Peter Klein conducted by Reverend Father David McGoey. He died April 27, 1944 after an illness of four years. He had been bedfast the past four months.

Mr. Klein was born April 22, 1884 on a farm near Rock Valley, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Klein. After growing to manhood he worked on farms in northwest Iowa and in South Dakota. He is survived by two brothers and four sisters, namely: John Klein of Alvord; William of Redland, California, Mrs. Victor Thill of Glencross, South Dakota; Mrs. H.C. Boecker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Mrs. Frank Pecklenk of Los Angeles, California and Mrs. W.B. Richler of Rock Valley.

Pallbearers were Frank McGill, Lawrence Richler, Raymond Keegan, Fay Gaspar, John Wiemer, and John Kearos.
