Rev, Father Corbett Buried in St. Mary's Cemetery. The remains of the late Father Corbett of Sanborn, who died at Monona on Tuesday was interred in the Catholic cemetery at this place yesterday, it being his dying request. The remains arrived here Wednesday evening and were taken to St. Mary's Catholic church were they were laid in state.

The funeral services were celebrated with great pomp of ceremony solemn high requiem mass being
celebrated. Rev. father Farrelly acted as celebrant; Father Hogan, deacon; Father Donahue sub-deacon; Father Garland, master of ceremonies. Rev. Dean McGrath of Charles City preached the funeral sermon. He paid an eloquent tribute to the departed and recommended him to faithful, saying that he was no stranger because he was a Catholic and should always be remembered by them.

Only a few relatives of the ceased were present owing to the great distant they lived from here. A large number of clergy were present.

Note: in the Sioux county Iowa cemetery index he had been listed as Gorbett instead of Corbett, (now corrected) Corbett, Patrick Rev. died 22 Nov 1894 at 41 (abt 1853) years of age buried in St Mary’s cemetery at Rock Valley, IA.
