Peter Klein, age 86, of Granville, died October 6 at the Nursing Wing of the Sheldon Community Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born August 11, 1890, at Granville, where he lived all his life except for the last four years, during which he lived in the Nursing Wing of The Sheldon Community Hospital. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Klein. He married Catherine Hodapp on February 4, 1919.

Funeral services were at 10:30 on Saturday, October 9 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Granville. Reverend Edward Hoffman officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at Granville, with arrangements handled by Fisch Funeral Home.

Klein was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine on August 30, 1955, three sons, six brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include the two sons, Hilary Klein and Charles Klein of Granville, one daughter, Mrs. Leo (Rosemary) Brann of Granville, 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
