J. Vande Steeg received a message on Wednesday stating that Rev. J. A. De Spelder had died at his home in Tecuseh, Mich., on Tuesday of this week. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon. Rev. De Spelder was the first pastor of the American Reformed church of this place and has also for many years been connected with the Academy here.
