From the Sioux County Index (Hull), July 2, 1926:

DAUGHTER DIES

Irene, the thirteen year old daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Goeringer, of the Lutheran church, died Tuesday morning.

The little lady was sick only a few days. At first it was thought she was suffering from some kind of rheumatism, but the seriousness of her ailment was soon discovered and a doctor called, who pronounced it some kind of a bone infection, and nothing could be done to relieve her.

The funeral will be held Friday afternoon. The sincere sympathy of all goes out to the bereaved parents and family in their great loss.
