Funeral services for Walter William Koch, former Inwood
area resident and brother of Fritz Koch of Rock Valley were
held in the Bethel Methodist church, Inwood Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 21. Rev James P. Russell officiated. Special music was by Mrs.
Allan Shannon, organist, and Neal Strand, soloist. Pallbearers were Henry Bosler, Jr., Dale Koch, Kenneth McKenney, Vernon Kahl, Norman McKenney and Harvey Kahl. Interment was in Richland cemetery in Inwood.

Mr. Koch died in the Canton Inwood hospital Nov. 18. He was born near Rock Valley Jan. 24, 1898 to Fred and Anna Koch. He was married to Innanda Loe in the Methodist church, Hudson, S, D., Jan, 26, 1921. They farmed in the Hudson and Inwood communities before moving to a farm near Worthing, S. D. where they resided for the past 10 years.
Mr. Koch retired from active farming during the past year due to ill health and entered the Canton-Inwood hospital Oct. 30.

Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. William (Arleen) Pascoe, Sioux Falls, Mrs. Eldon (Bette) Hanson, Inwood, and Mrs. Louis (Eleanor) Skrondahl, Sioux Falls: two sons, Orlo, Larchwood, and
Walter Robert, at home; 10 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Anna Koch; five sisters, Mrs. Minnie Groth, Mathilda Koch, Rock Valley, Mrs. Marcus Kahl, Mrs. Verne McKenney, Inwood, Mrs. Henry Bosler, Alvord, five brothers, George, Edward, Bay, Fritz, Rock Valley, and Louis, Inwood.
He was preceded in death by his father, two sisters and two brothers.
