From the Boyden Reporter, May 6, 1926:

CHILD INSTANTLY KILLED

Albert, the three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Manderville, fell out of the cab of the truck his father was driving, Sunday afternoon at about 2:00 o’clock and was almost instantly killed. The accident happened on the road north of Boyden as the family were out riding in the truck, which is used in the business of the Boyden Rendering Works. The Manderville family have lived in Boyden about two months, coming here from Rock Rapids, Iowa, their former home being at Primghar. The child was taken to Primghar, where the funeral was held Tuesday. The Reporter extends its sincere sympathy to the bereaved parents in their hour of sorrow.

His death certificate gives his parents as Merrille Manderville, born in Primghar, and Clarice Jackson, born in Kansas. It specifies the nature of his internal injuries, but the handwriting is so light as to be largely illegible.
