Mrs. Minnie Klarenbeek, 85, formerly of Rock Rapids, died Monday, April 1, at the Sogge Good Samaritan Home in Windom, Minnesota.

Services were held on Thursday, April 4, at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Boyden. The Reverend Harold Lenters officiated. Interment followed at the Sheridan Township Cemetery near Boyden.

She was born September 17, 1910 in Kampen, the Netherlands, the daughter of Arend John and Harmpye (Boer) Ros. She came to the United States with her family in 1914. They settled at Sheldon and later moved to Steen, Minnesota. In 1932, she married Gerrit Klarenbeek at Rock Rapids. They lived at Rock Rapids. Mrs. Klarenbeek later became a resident of the nursing homes in St. Peter, Wilmar, and Windom, all in Minnesota.

She was a member of the American Reformed Church in Wilmar and a former member of the First Reformed Church in Rock Rapids.

Survivors include four children: Arta, Hermina, Bill, and Marlo, all in California; several grandchildren, a few great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gerrit Bos of Ontario, California and Gerrit John Bos of Booneville, Missouri; and five sisters, Henrietta Korthals of Boyden, Alice Koele of Hull, Lena Groen of Doon, Johanna Freerks of Long Beach, California and Carrie Koele of Clinton, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by a son, Arend; three sisters, Don Klarenbeek, Bertha Blick, and Gertrude Siebrands; three infant brothers; and an infant sister.
