Hulda Kersbergen, age 93, of Rock Valley, died Saturday, December 14, 1996 at the Hegg Memorial Hospital at Rock Valley. Funeral services was Tuesday, December 17, at the Pioneer United Methodist Church at Rock Valley, Iowa. Reverend Ron Johnson officiated. Burial was at the Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley. Visitation was Monday at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

Hulda was born August 29, 1903 at Rock Valley, Iowa. She was the daughter of Fred and Christiana (Gayer) Klein. Hulda attended Rock Valley Country school and high school. Hulda married Harry Kersbergen on September 3, 1924 at Alvord, Iowa. They lived on a farm near Rock Valley and moved to Rock Valley in 1944. Harry died September 18, 1994.

Surviving relatives include one daughter and her husband, Evelyn and Richard Richter of Rock Valley, Iowa; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Kersbergen of Rock Valley, Iowa; brother, Arthur Klein of Rock Valley; sister, Esther Van De Weerd of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
