Funeral services was held Monday for Mrs. William Kersbergen, 84, of Doon at 9:30 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Alvord with the Reverend Jerome Loutsch officiating.

Rosary was recited Sunday at 8:00 P.M. in the Jungewaard-Stapp Funeral Home of Rock Rapids. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Rock Valley under the Jungewaard-Stapp Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kersbergen died Thursday, August 15, 1969 in the MPC Hospital at the age of 83 following a short illness.

The former Susan Dreier was born on January 25, 1886, in Remsen, Iowa. Her father Johanes Dreier was 33 and her mother, Mary (Foerster) Dreier, was 32. She had three sons with her husband William Kersbergen: Melvin of Sioux Falls, Robert W. of Doon and John H. of Cedar Rapids. He died in 1942.
