Mrs. Ben Kempers, nee Cornelia Van Ee, 72, died at the DeBey Hospital here Sunday morning, She suffered a stroke a week ago which caused her death.

Mrs. Kempers was born November 18, 1869 in the province Zeeland in the Netherlands. At the age of 12 she came to America, with her parents and settled at Maurice. Later on they lived on a small acreage ¼ miles east of Orange City.

In 1913 she was united in marriage to Mr. Ben Kempers and lived in the southern part of town until her death. She is survived by her husband, Ben Kempers. Her parents, brothers and sisters all preceded her in death.

She was a member of the First Reformed Church. Funeral services were held at the Van Etten Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 31, at 2 P.M. Reverends Mr. H. Colenbrander and Reverend Bronkema had charge of the services. Interment was made in the Maurice Cemetery where her parents were buried.
