Clara Baker, 91, of Le Mars, died Wednesday, February 24, in the nursing home in Kingsley.Services were Friday at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Le Mars, the Rev. Terry Webster officiating. Burial was at Le Mars Memorial Cemetery.

Born Clara Strackbein on January 9, 1897, near Battle Creek, she lived in Anthon before her marriage to Kenneth Baker November 18, 1915, in Onawa. The couple lived in Moville, Pierson and Remsen, retiring in Le Mars in 1953. He died in 1957. She was a member of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ and the church guild.

Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Meissner of Lovelock, Nevada, Viola Gengler of Remsen and Blanche Majeres of Le Mars; three sons, Victor of Kingsley, Roscoe of Le Mare and Warren of Ireton; two sisters, Frieda Roth of Davenport and Sara Saunders of Sioux City; 37 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
