Funeral services for Klaas Keizer, 85, were held in the Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley at 1:30 om Tuesday, July 30. Reverend Nicholas Rozenboom officiated.
Music was by Mrs. Adam Vander Bok, soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Larry Bomhoff, organist. Interment was in Valley View Cemetery. Pallbearers were Sam W. Keizer, George Riezer, Robert Shoemaker, Sam J. Keizer, Ray Buffington and Richard Rietsma.
Mr. Keizer died in the Sioux Center Community hospital July 26 following a long illness.
He was born in The Netherlands, March 29, 1878.
He was joined in marriage to Martha Siderius, November 13, 1902. They came to America in April 1921 and settled on a farm near Rock Valley. They moved into Rock Valley in 1938 and lived there until moving to Hull in 1956.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lubbert Noteboom, Hull; a brother, Jake Keizer, Rock Valley; a sister in The Netherlands and three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, and son, Sam; a daughter, Mrs. John (Sadie) Groen, and three brothers, Case, Jim and Thys.
