Isaac Noteboom died at his home at Canistota, S.D., on Saturday Oct. 25, of stomach trouble, at the age of 59 years, 10 months and 1 day. He was born in Marion county Iowa and at the age of eighteen came to Sioux county. Three years later he was united in marriage to Miss Jane Moret. The ceremony was performed at Hospers by Squire Koolbeek. This union was blessed with twelve children, ten of whom survive. Mr. Noteboom had been a farmer most of his life. Some years ago he served Alton as marshal and during his stay here made many friends. He removed to Canistota when he again engaged in farming and where he lived until death claimed him. The remains were brought to Alton and taken to the John Reuvers residence. Funeral services were held on Tuesday and were conducted by Rev. J.P. De Jong. Interment was made in the Nassau Township cemetery. Deceased is survived by the following sons and daughters:Mrs. J.J. Muilenberg of Alton, Peter of Chicago, Lane of Canistota, Mrs. Marine Langeraak of Monroe, S.D., John of Davis, S.D., Mrs. Jess Muilenberg of Hospers, Mike of Canistota and Magdalene, Bennie and Willie at home. All the children wth the exception of Mrs. Langeraak and Magdalene were present at the funeral. Deceased is also survived by the following brothers and sisters--Arie and Peter of Orang City, Gerrit of Rock Valley, John of Zion City, Mrs. Peter Ernisse of Armour, S.D., Mrs. K. Vander Stoep of Maurice and Mrs. Dick Betten of Onawa. A large number of friends from neighboring towns attended the services among whom we noticed Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stientjes, Mr. and Mrs. W. Moret, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Moret, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Moret of Boyden, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Vander Stoep, and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Vander Stoep of Maurice.
