Mrs. Katie Kain passed away at Worthington, Minnesota, May 24, after an illness of five days. Pneumonia was said to have caused her death.

Mrs. Kain was born at Lancaster, Ohio, May 15, 1853. Mrs. Kain married Michael Kain April 2, 1872 and to this union five children were born: Mary, Mrs. G. Astroom of Detroit Lake ; Margaret, Mrs. J. Runger of Wauturn, Minnesota, Will of Hammond, Indiana, Anna who died in 1897. Mrs. Kain became a widow 37 years ago.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Church at Worthington and burial was made here in the St. Joseph Cemetery on the side of her husband. She formerly was a resident of Granville many years ago.
