Mrs. Dominic (Rose) Jungers of Hospers died on Monday, September 20, at the Sheldon Community Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 88. Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 22, in the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Hospers. Reverend Eugene Ceperly will officiated. Burial is to be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Hospers, with Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jungers was born November 15, 1887, in rural Alton. A housewife, she lived in the Alton-Hospers area all her life. Her maiden name was Rose Gerst. She married in a service at Alton on February 14, 1911.

Survivors include two sons, Oscar Jungers and Evert Jungers of Hospers; and two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Bertille) Meyers of Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Ernest (Adella) Vorthents of Hospers; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Carl (Hilda) Haag of Dunedin, Florida.

Mrs. Jungers was a member of the Christian Mothers of Society of Hospers and was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic in 1950 and five brothers.
