LANDHUIS, HOSPERS, RENSINK

Bertus Landhuis died at his home in Hospers on Saturday December 20th, of old age. Deceased was born in the Netherlands on August 8th 1833. He came to the United States in 1882, settling on a farm in Sioux county. Some years ago he retired from active farm life and has since been making his home in the town of Hospers, He is survived by his aged widow, and five sons and two daughters as follows: Mrs. Johanna Hospers and Cornelius who reside in the Netherlands, John of Hospers, Mrs. John Rensink of Boyden, Henry of Leota, Minn., and J.B. and Bert of Hospers. The funeral services were held on Tuesday December 23rd and were conducted by Rev. G.H. Douwstra. Interment was made in the Hospers cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. L. Boersma of Bemis, S.D., Mrs. Gerrit Boersma of Sheldon, Gerrit Dykstra and son Louis of Elkton, S.D., J.H. Kreykes of Sheldon, John Hospers of Orange City, Henry Landhuis of Leota, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. John Rensink and children of Boyden attended the funeral Tuesday of the late B. Landhuis.
