BROTHER OF LAWRENCE DAGLE OF HAWARDEN MET UNUSUAL DEATH

Henry Joseph Dagle of Sioux City, a brother of Lawrence Dagle of Hawarden and Mrs. J.H. Jockheck of Le Mars, formerly of this city, died last Friday evening on the lawn of his home within twenty minutes after he had been stung by a bee. With a carpenter, Mr. Dagle and his wife went to inspect another property which he owned and on which he was contemplating some repair work. While in the basement Mr. Dayle was stung.

The poison penetrated his system through a blood vessel on the wrist and was carried to his heart. Mr. Dayle was in a weakened condition as the result of a fall at the O.J. Moore home. He suffered serious injuries to his back. He had nearly recovered, however, and had planned to return to work the first of the month. He was 49 years old and had been employed by the Moore Company as a coffee roaster for 25 years.

Mr. Dayle was a well known resident of the Riverside suburb. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and of the Riverside Methodist Episcopal Church. Besides his widow, Zora Fay (Benton) Dayle and brother and sister, his parents, Henry L. and Mederse (LaFluer) Dayle also survive him.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Riverside Methodist Church and burial was made in Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City.
