JOHN JONKER SERVICES HELD

Funeral services were held Tuesday in the First Reformed Church for John Jonker, age 74. He died August 23 at home.

Mr. Jonker was born in The Netherlands, on May 30, 1889. His parents were Hendrick Jonker and Pietje Miedema. He came to Orange City from The Netherlands in 1895.

Mr. Jonker was united in marriage to Alice Oolman on February 26, 1926. To this union six children were born.

Survivors include one son, Henry J. of Orange City, five daughters, Mrs. D. Hanesworth (Leona), Sebastapol, California, Nelvie, Los Angeles, California, Mrs. William (Hermine) Windle, Sioux City, Mrs. E. (Chalice) Altena, Hull, Mrs. J. (Vera) Domis of Trinidad, West Indies, 11 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Arie Jonker and Mrs. Nanne Jonker.

Reverend R. R. Van Heukelom officiated at the services. Special music by Mr. And Mrs. Lloyd De Jong, accompanied by Mrs. John Brantsen. Pallbearers were Wilfred Jonker, Clifford Oolman, Glen Oolman, Harvey Oolman, Myron Oolman and Orville Oolman. Interment was in the Orange City Cemetery under the direction of Van Etten Funeral Home.
