Funeral services were held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Granville for Mrs. Dorothy Marie Johnson, 57, on Saturday morning, April 19, at 10 A.M. Father N.J. Becker officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery at Granville. Mrs. Johnson passed away on Tuesday at the Sioux Valley Hospital in Cherokee after a long illness.

Dorothy Johnson was born at Granville on January 28, 1912, the daughter of John and Dora Thorman. She was married to Theodore Johnson in Remsen. He passed away in January, 1961.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Dora Thorman of Granville; three sons, Donnell of Poway, California; Robert and Theodore, both in Viet Nam; one daughter, Darlyne of Minneapolis and six grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters and 1 brother: Mrs. Ed Feller (Julia) of California, Mrs. Robert Schuckman (Cele) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mrs. Al George (Della) of Cherokee and Max Thorman of Madison, Iowa.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Johnson included John Lange, Lawrence Miller, Arthur Kastman, Gilbert Hollister, James Moos and Stan Oolman, all of Paulina.
