Funeral services were held Monday, May 23, at the Lutheran Church in Hawarden for Kelly Johnson, 65, who died Friday, May 20, at the Sioux Valley Hospital. Burial was made in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton.

He was married on September 2, 1919, to Miss Etta Braaks of Ireton.

Members of the Bertram Post 276, American Legion of Ireton conducted military rites at the cemetery. Members of Two Cakes Post of the American Legion of Hawarden were casket bearers.

Mr. Kelly is survived by his wife, Etta, one daughter, Mrs. Harian Haan, of San Diego, California; one son, Donald of Cherokee; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Hannah McManaman of Hawarden and Mrs. Della Frank of Rapid City, South Dakota; and one brother, Willard of Butte, Montana.
