Mrs. Gillmann
Dies at Akron Funeral Services Held Sunday At Peace Lutheran Church For Wife of Minister Mrs. E. Gillmann, 73, Akron, died last Wednesday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Gillmann was the wife of Rev. E. Gillmann, who for a number of years was pastor of Peace Lutheran church, northeast of Hawarden. Rev. and Mrs. Gillman went to Merrill when he left Peace Lutheran. Eight years ago Rev. Gillmann retired.

Mrs. Gillmann (Emma Sophia Schulz)was born April 27, 1875, at Wyandotte, Mich. She was married February 18, 1897, in Detroit. Surviving are the widower, five sons, Emil A. and Arthur F. of Sioux City, Paul J. of Rock Rapids, Herbert W. of Wyandotte and Hilbert G. of Miami; five daughters, Mrs. H. A. Stryzewski and Mrs. Verna Lehmann of Akron, Mr,s. Louise Linderkamp of Rockford, Mrs. Clara Jacobs of Merrill and Miss Florence Gillmann of Wyandotte; 17 grandchildren and a brother and five sisters.

Funeral services were held at the H. A. Stryzewski home at Akron at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon and at Peace Lutheran church, northeast of Hawarden, at 2:30 with Rev. J. A. Pannkuk of Akron in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Hawarden people who attended Peace Lutheran church when Rev. Gillmann served there and who attended the funeral were Mr, and Mrs. Ed Degen, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. John Treiber, Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Stoltenberg, Mrs. Louisa Heuer and Mrs. Mary Schlumbohm.
