Guy Hodgson, 85, of Hawarden died Monday, April 16, in the Hawarden Hospital.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Associated Church. The Rev. Heston Milligan officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery under direction of the Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. Hodgson was born Nov. 2,1893 in Clarksville. He married Marie Whittington March 2, 1918 in LeMars. She died April 10, 1975. He farmed in the area most of his life and moved to town in 1948. He retired from farming in 1956. Mr. Hodgson was a member of the Associated Church and the Last Man's Club. He was a veteran of World War I and was past com mander of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include a son, Glenn of Hawarden; two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild
