Funeral services were held Saturday. August 2 for "Ring" Jasper who passed away on Wednesday, July 30. Services were held in the First Christian Reformer Church with Dr. R. Bronkema in charge. Death was due to coronary thrombosis. Mr. Jasper was 70 years of age and the last remaining of 6 sons of Jacobus and Riemke Jasper.

He was born in Orange City in 1882 and married Etta Sjaarda of LeMars in 1912. They were the parents of a son and a daughter. They are Roger of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Ruth (Mrs. Richard Hof) of Akron, Ohio who with their mother survive him. There are 4 grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
