Cornelia Jansen, 91, of Sioux Center died Thursday, August 17, at Sioux Center Community Health Center.

Services were at 1 P.M. Saturday at the First Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Reverend Bernie Haan officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center.

Mrs. Jansen was born July 30, 1909, in The Netherlands, the daughter of Cornelius and Antje (Van Egmond) Van Velzen. She attended school in The Netherlands and finished grade school at Sioux Center Christian School. She married Henry Jansen on January 30, 1929, in Sioux Center. They lived their entire married life in the Sioux Center vicinity.

She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, playing table games and fishing.

Survivors include two sons, Edward and Marie of Clara City, Minnesota, and Cornie and Ruth of Hudson, South Dakota; two daughters, Anna Marie Gortsema of Grangeville, Idaho, and Margaret and Kenneth Gerritsen of Rock Rapids; two daughters-in-law, Winona Jansen of Sioux Center and Kathy Jansen of Stafford, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Don and Henry, Jr.; and one son-in-law, Raymond Gortsema.
