Russell Edward, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Jacobsen of the Rock Valley vicinity, died Wednesday after a brief illness. The child was one year old on November but had not been well since birth.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Lutheran Church. He was laid to rest at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Sioux Center, Iowa.

The baby is survived by his parents and one sister, Marilyn, who have the sympathy of the community in their loss.
