From the Rock Valley Bee, June 26, 1925:

MANY ATTEND FUNERAL

A number of people from Rock Valley and vicinity went to Alvord last Saturday morning to attend the funeral services of Mrs. John Suhreptz, who died last week Thursday morning of cancer, from which she had been a long and patient sufferer. She leaves her husband and three children, besides her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Crowley, and brothers and sisters.

The deceased was well known in Rock Valley and vicinity where she had spent many years of her life and had many friends who extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

RESOLUTION OF SYMPATHY

Whereas: It has pleased our Heavenly Father in His Divine Wisdom to call to her reward, Cecelia Suhreptz, beloved daughter of Mrs. Helen Crowley and sister of Nellie Crowley,
Therefore, Be It Resolved, that we, the Catholic Daughters of America, of Court St. Anne, No. 215, extend to them our heartfelt sympathy.

Her death certificate has Ceila Suhreptz, wife of John Suhreptz; born April 1, 1877 in America; father Jim Crowley, born Ireland, mother’s name unknown; died in Lyon County, Doon Township, June 19, 1925, at 6 a.m.; cause, carcinoma of the breast, duration 1 year; buried St. Mary’s Cemetery, Alvord.
