From the Rock Valley Bee, June 12, 1925:

Mrs. Coba Filstra passed away at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. Veldboom, in Rock Valley on Thursday, June 4. Although she had not been strong for some time past, she was not taken seriously ill until ten days before her death. She and her husband lived in Middleburg, but a few days before she was taken sick, she came to Rock Valley for a visit with her parents.

Coba Veldboom was born December 15, 1901, in Rock Valley, where she grew to young womanhood. She attended the public schools here and graduated from the Christian school in Rock Valley. She was later united in marriage to Peter Phylstra and they resided at Middleburg, Sioux county.

Besides her husband and parents, she leaves two sisters, Dora Huizing [Huizenga?] residing east of Rock Valley, and Gertrude at Rock Valley, and two brothers, Gerrit, of Sioux Center, and John of Rock Valley.

Funeral services were held at the First Reformed church in Rock Valley afternoon [no day stated], and the remains were taken to Valley View cemetery. The services were largely attended by sympathizing friends.
