Services Tuesday for Mrs. Nancy Jager

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 3 at 1:30 o'clock in the Trinity Reformed Church for Mrs. Nancy Jager, 78, longtime resident of the Orange City area.

Reverend John B. Hulst officiated and special music was provided by Mrs. Calvin Groen, Mrs. Ivan Muilenburg and Mrs, Dale Hubers. who sang, "Just As I Am" and "Precious Lord, Take My Hand." Mrs. Stanley Duven was the organist.

Pallbearers were John Kleinhesselink, Raymond P. De Jong, Jake Mars, Peter Brouwer, Peter Faber and Howard Stephens.

Mrs. Jager passed away Thursday, November 28 at the Orange City Municipal Hospital after suffering a stroke about a week previous.

Nancy Ruesink was born to Derk and Nancy (Freriks) Ruesink on September 7, 1885, and was married to Peter Jager on June 29, 1933 and has lived on a farm in this area all her life, with the exception of about ten years spent in Washington. She returned here five years ago.

Survivors Include three step-daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Wielenga, Mrs. John Stremler and Mrs. John Wynstra, all of Lynden, Washington; one step-son, Hilbert Jager of Orange City; a brother, Dr. Edward Reusink of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and eight grandchildren.

Interment was in the Orange City Cemetery. Van Etten Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
