A Young Life Taken.

Miss Henrietta Jacobs died late Wednesday night at the home of her parents, Christiaan and Mary Van Zyl, south west of Hospers of typhoid fever after an illness of a few weeks.

Miss Jacobs and her father Chris Jacobs were visiting his daughter, Mrs. Jansen at Crawford, Colorado, while there Henrietta showed symptoms of taking ill and they immediately started home.

Nothing serious was thought at the time, however she kept getting worst, and when they reached home she was quite sick. All that medical skill and careful nursing could do was of no avail.

Deceased had reached the age of fifteen years. She was a happy child with a cheerful disposition and will be much missed by her parents and friends.

The funeral will be held on Saturday with services at Newkirk by Reverend Douwstra in the Reformed Church. The sorrowing parents and relatives have the sympathy of all in their sad bereavement.
