Mr. Henry Jackson, well known to many people of this community, passed away at the home of his daughter at Sedgwick, South Dakota, Sunday, April 3, 1927. The remains were brought to Boyden for burial, and arrived here Wednesday morning, arrived here Wednesday morning. Short funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Frances Jackson, at 1:15 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon with Reverend Neil Stewart, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment was made in the Boyden Cemetery.

Deceased was born on the 13th day of June 1842 at Summit Schoharie County, New York. He had reached the age of 84 years, 9 months and 20 days. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ed Gray, of Sedgwick. Henry's wife, Samantha (Story) Jackson and two children having preceded him. He died suddenly and his death was undoubtedly due to old age.

Until about three years ago, he used to spend winters in Boyden, in the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Frances Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a home steadier near Boyden and lived here until twenty years ago when he again took up a homestead at Highmore, South Dakota. Those from out-of-town who attended the funeral are: Mr. Frank Benson and daughter Esther, of Matlock; Mr. Ed Gray of Highway, South Dakota and Mr. Kenneth Morgan of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Reporter extends its sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
